 GRAND PEAK

AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERDS AND MINIATURE AMERICAN SHEPHERDS

Welcome to Grand Peak's kennel. I'm a small boutique kennel located in a small country town in the outskirts of Melbourne Victoria, Australia. I have been involved in Australian Shepherds since 2014 and Miniature American Shepherds since 2023.

At Grand Peak I pride myself to breed the to the standard, with intelligence, good herding instinct, sound structure and good temperament. Also keeping in mind of these main categories we breed to obtain correct type, coat and colour. All our dogs at Grand Peak are genetic health tested, hips and elbow scores and yearly eye tested so the betterment of the breed is upheld.

Where It All Started

Animals have always been a big part of my life from an early stage.  I started riding Western Pleasure Horses at the age of nine. My hobby became very addictive and competitive, which took me to America where I stayed with Congress and World Champion Bill and Tina Kaven.

I had an opportunity to work for the well known Quarter Horses Horse Stud Jayes Park located in Victoria, Australia and owned by Yasmin Lee- Steere and her husband Jake Vincent. I rode and trained at this facility for many years at a National and State level.  I ventured back to America a further two times widening my knowledge under world class trainers.

I would also like to thank all my clients that supported me and in-trusted me with their horses.

After many years riding horses I had the opportunity for a career change to study and become a dental assistant. After completion of my studies I work with a well renown Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons in Victoria.

To broaden my knowledge i recently started a new job working for a specialist in Prosthodontics.

Dogs have always been around due to my mother showing Miniature Dachshunds and Miniature Schnauzers.

My Australian Shepherd addiction came in full play when I got my first Aussie in 2014 and the rest is history. With my mother having miniature breeds why not get my own miniature where i have recently ventured into Miniature American Shepherds.

I can't thank all my mentors that have helped me along the way.

I am very lucky to have close friends around me and I love helping people.  I enjoy showing my friends dogs and also my mums Miniature Dachshunds.
